Favorite TV Shows

I love television. It's great for entertainment, for making me feel and I love seeing how characters are brought to life both by the writing and the acting.

Some of my current favorite shows:

Castle. Nathan Fillion plays a hunky best selling author. Need I say more?

The Good Wife. Another new favorite. Love this show, love Julianna Marguiles and Chris Noth (of course). Fantastic show.

24. The action, the fast pace, the tortured hero in Jack... and that doesn't even come near the fact that these characters experience more emotional and physical turmoil than anyone in just twenty four hours, it leaves me stunned at the end of every episode. When my husband and I first started this show on DVD, we went in marathon sessions - watching a season in a week. We couldn't stop. Still can't!

90210. Okay, I admit it. I watch. I will have to even admit that I like the new incarnation of this show. I was a huge fan of the original, and this one is slowly winning me over, as well.

Lost. I have a hate/love affair with this show. I was riveted to the first season, lost a lot of interest during the second and got drawn back in during the third. And the third season season finale? Woah! They've done and hooked me again, and I can't wait to see how the remaining two seasons unfold.

Shows that I love my DVDs of:

Veronica Mars: This was such a well-written, well-acted show. The cast of characters made this for me. Kristen Bell plays a sassy, smart teenage private investigator... but that description does nothing to serve the show justice. It made just three seasons before tv folk made a mistake and canceled it, but my DVDs still get plenty of use. I highly recommend a DVD buy here.

Gilmore Girls. DVD. Re-runs. I can't seem to get enough of this show. The relationships are complex, the characters quirky, the secondary characters quirkier and a couple to root for. All my favorites.

The Unit: My husband and I put this at the top of our DVR list. The Unit is one of the best shows on TV, period. It's about an elite military group, but what makes this show is the characterization. The show is just as much about the wives as it is about the husbands and their jobs, it's about marriage, life. One episode is all it will take for you to be hooked.

Favorite Movies

Twister. Don't ask. I have no idea why. Just love it.

Meet Me In St. Louis. It's long been a favorite since the first time my grandmother played it for me as a little girl. Many years later, my best friend and I discovered it was both our favorites. The perfect snuggle with your best girlfriend movie.
